All of my work is non-porous and food safe. I recommend hand-washing to extend the life of your piece and avoid unwanted chips or breaks.
My bubbler pipes have a built-in downstem so that water can be added to the interior for a smooth smoking experience, for use with legal flower. You can clean ceramic material the same way you would any glass piece.
